What Is This Version?
Quadcept Ver.9.4.0 is an edition that can be installed on the same PC as Quadcept Ver.10 is and is available during the transitional period from Ver.9 to Ver.10.
- Both Quadcept Ver.9.4.0 and Quadcept Ver.10 can be installed on one PC.
- The two versions of Quadcept cannot be run at the same time.
Why Is This Version Needed?
The latest version, Quadcept Ver.10 provides more than a hundred of new features, enhancements and improvements including new file structure for projects, additional database called master-db and library caching for project files.
This update has fundamentally changed the structure of Quadcept projects, and now project files created with the version 10 are not available with the older versions of Quadcept.
The newly-released version, Quadcept Ver.9.4.0 can be installed on the same PC as Quadcept Ver.10 is. This allows you to use each version according to your partner companies or customers.
License Activation Method
When Quadcept Ver.9.4.0 and Quadcept Ver.10 are installed on one computer, their license activation setting will be shared.
- If you switch to Standalone Activation in either version, both versions will start as Standalone Activation.
- If you switch to Network Activation in either version, both versions will start as Network Activation.
Downloading / Installing Quadcept Ver.9.4.0
The installer for Quadcept Ver.9.4.0 is downloadable from the download page in Quadcept Manager. It can be installed in the same manner as Quadcept Ver.10.
Plan and Prepare for the Transition to Quadcept Ver.10
When you move your team to Quadcept Ver.10, it’s important to plan when to make the transition, and who will make it. As informed above, project files created in Ver.10 are not available in the older versions of Quadcept. If you are working on a project together with multiple designers, please plan and prepare for an update to Quadcept Ver.10.
